Deploy Reblaze

Deploying Reblaze via AWS is done by selecting the deployment, subscribing to Reblaze, configuring the deployment version and region, and then launching the application.

Select Deployment

  1. Go to the AWS Marketplace at https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace.

  2. If you already have an AWS account, sign in to your account. Otherwise, you must create an account at https://aws.amazon.com/.

  3. There are two Reblaze deployments available: - Pay as you go, where you pay the Reblaze license fee via AWS. - Bring your own license (BYOL), where the license fee is paid directly to Reblaze or through other channels. Select the Reblaze deployment which best fits your needs. The product overview and pricing estimation page appears.

  4. To estimate your costs per instance, select a region. The region should be based on proximity to your existing infrastructure.

Region selection at this stage is only for pricing estimation. The actual region will be chosen in the next step. - For pay as you go, the estimate cost table includes pricing for both Reblaze and the AWS infrastructure. Pricing is displayed for both hourly and annual plans. An annual plan can be purchased in the next step. Note that an annual plan is only for the Reblaze license. AWS infrastructure will still be billed per hour. - For BYOL, the estimate includes only the AWS infrastructure.

  5. Click Continue to Subscribe.

Subscribe

  1. Review the Reblaze Terms and Condition, and click Show Details to see the estimated pricing information. Pricing is based on your deployment selections. Note that your actual usage and costs may be different from this estimate.

  2. If you selected the pay as you go option for your deployment, you can save on the cost of this software by purchasing an annual software contract. To purchase a contract:

    1. Select the unit type (the type of instance) and enter how many licenses you want on the contract.

    2. Click Add. The price of the software contract for a year will be calculated. Note that an annual plan is only for the Reblaze license. AWS infrastructure will still be billed per hour.

You can add more combinations of instance sizes and number of licenses to the same contract, or you can configure additional contracts after you have confirmed this contract.

    3. When you have completed the contract configuration, click Create Contract.

    4. Review the contract and click Confirm.

  3. Review the Terms and Conditions and if you want to subscribe, click Accept Terms.

  4. Once the subscription starts, click Continue to Configuration.

  1. Fulfillment Option is pre-selected and based upon the selected deployment.

  2. Software Version default value is the most current available version. If this is an additional Reblaze deployment, select the version which matches your earlier deployments.

  3. Select the AWS Region where you want Reblaze installed.

  4. If you have not done so previously, you can configure an annual contract at this point. Click Configure Contract, and follow the steps as described above in Subscribe.
